Great Canadian Parks
Prince Edward Island
'the small under the protection of the great'.
Canada's smallest province and the
birthplace of Confederation, Prince Edward Island, is
an eastern maritime playground for tourists throughout
the calendar year. Accessible to the mainland province
of Nova Scotia by the 13-kilometre Confederation Bridge,
PEI is famous for the Greenwich Dunes, red sandstone
cliffs and miles of beaches. The parks preserve these
fragile habitats and offer visitors recreational camping,
swimming, fishing, boating and hiking.
